Welcome back! The new HDRIs look fantastic! Excellent work as always.  One of the first characters that I purchased when I started with Poser was yours.

Welcome back! Still loving your work, the PBR materials see use in almost every render I do.

...same here.  I have all the sets and they are indispensable.

Thank you for the warm welcome , ah that was old times , I think I started poser 25 years ago , I can't believe how fast time flows , I was 25

wanna see my first character I made with Poser ? lol this is antique render , but was featured in Italian TV and in Audio Video Producer magazine in California

it is nothing good about that render but hey we did not had any digital cameras yet and crappy PCs that rendered 1 render in 24h lol

Actually I released the first Male character as PA for M1 when DAZ was still Zygote lol That was the beginning of everything we know today, I used Right Hemispheres DeepPaint 3D, I still have the software and still working better than Photoshop 2020 , fast and smooth, with the limitation of memory since it is 32bits soft, it was the best software I ever used for texturing , they never upgraded it and probably sold the code

Pixar used it in their first 3D movies as they was on the beta team with us.

Hey!! Mec4D! How are you? Big fan since way back with your V3 characters (Ingrid I want to say was the name?). Any new developments in the skin shader department?

Limitation of memory for 32bit software:

Makes it use up to 4GB RAM, instead of the 2GB ...

Working on some HDRI environment freebie for you guys , just made some tests , of course the horses you will need to add yourself from the library lol

amazing thing about it is that the shadows matching the original shadows, and still there is blue ambient  light when using more 3D objects , I think I hit the sweet spot

I'm so glad to see that you are back and have found love and happiness!!

And once you are back in the swing of things, I am hoping you will release that beautiful Chinese formal outfit that you were working on. It would be fabulous with D-force!

That HDRI you just showed is beautiful!

    and iClone 3DXchange

but some other programs act wonky if you apply it to them, forgotten now which one was really bad with the UI playing up, something I don't use now obviously

Thank you, the Manchurian outfit for the woman was kinda stiff due to all the heavy like a blanket layers so not the kind of flowing silk fabrics, but maybe the last layer can be deformed nice using D-force , that would be cool, I just download the latest version of studio, checking out the all new features and see what can be done . The rendering improved so well, rendered the horses in 2 seconds surprise I need to catch up on so many new stuff.

I stopped using it due to it's limitation on the memory , too many maps on the model .

I tried yesterday PS 2020 version, the 3D painting is slower than 1998 software, nothing improved, the only way was to use the projection painting with a layer to fix some nadir issue seam  in the HDRIs  , you can drink one cup of coffee between the movements . DeepPaint3D had amazing 64bits version coming to the market that I was testing out for them, but sudently they decided to let it go from the public eye, I would be not surprised if Pixar buy it out for internal studio usage , on this time there was not too many customers doing texturing work, 3D was new . Mostl all softwares adopted the same principles of DeppPaint3D but none of them is so simple, quick and deliver all your needed maps at once while working on the base , maybe sentiments but I could make full textured character in 1 day with that

this is amazing , as I always say, Simple is beautiful !

Thank you once again ! I owe you one !

Mec4D, I read this thread and the one about the Bobby uniforms yesterday. I confess to some confusion. I was installing my DAZ Content from scratch and saw your name on many products. I was totally excited when you showed your WIP of the Bobby uniforms, and related projects. Suddenly I realized these two threads were old threads with new posts. I was deeply moved by the tragedies you experienced, and elated about your joyful moments. You are indeed well-loved by this community. Please accept my own humble well wishes, as late as they may be.

Thank you so much Ron , Bobby uniform was my learning project, it is still on my server so not lost , I may finish it as time allow , I stopped it back then because DAZ Studio rigging updates totally changed my workflow  and I did not had the time to go into it and learn new stuff again , I still have it rigged to the older figures but don't works so well on the new , I am going back to the clothing once I finish all my HDRI projects and of course I want make my new Buddy 3 character , I also found today I have Unshaven 4 for genesis 8 on my server , almost finished .. and many other cool projects
