How Does DAZ Studio 4.9 Organize content? Victoria 4.2 appears under humans section but Michael 4...

I used the Install manager to install all my bought DAZ 3D content which included Michael 4 and Victoria 4 and so on. Many things.

Then i went to browse for content under People/Humans and only Victoria 4 appears. I was wondering why Michael 4 wasn't there. But when i change to the BY Letter listing. MIchael 4 does appear under letter M. But why doesn't he appear in the By category  listing?

    I'm not sure what you mean by "People/Humans" -- under Categories I have V4 in "Default/Figures/People/Female/Real World" and M4 in "Default/Figures/People/Male/Real World".  In Daz Studio Formats they are both in "Figures/DAZ People".

    Hmmm...maybe different versions of DAZ Studio organize the Smart Content diiferently. The OP might consider upgrading to DAZ Studio 4.9.1.30 as the Smart Content seems to get more and more organized.

    I don't think I have the /...Female.../...Real World path in DS 4.8; doesn't seem to ring a bell for me.

    Anyway my take on this is that it's been a bit scattered for quite some time - no standardization really. DS 4.8 was a lot better for me, on a new installation but still... one or two vendors get positioned way up in the tree "just because". I don't have any real fundamental problem with this but it does make things a bit hard to find.

    I will try again soon with DS 4.9 on another new install and we'll see how that goes... btw this has been discussed in the forums before; if I'm not mistaken though the forum knowledge-base has had a tendency to "disappear" every couple of years?
