surfaces tab missing some materials

Hey guys,

This is probably a basic question. I noticed that after re-installing Daz, some of my iRay material presets do not show up in the surfaces tab, whereas they do appear in the content library pane. I was curious if there is a simple way to fix this.

    Which version of Daz Studio? Do they show in Smart Content, with Filter By Selection unchecked if this is 4.9?

    It is Daz Studio 4.9. But I think you helped point me in the right direction. Looking at the smart content folder, it looks like the default resources did not install for some reason. I just had to double click on the icon to install it, and now the basic metals and other materials that were missing in the materials tab are now present.
