Genisis 3 figures too bright.

Hi
I like to use daz as an artistis reference. How the figures appear in the viewport is really important and the genesis 3 figures are blown out or have way too much ambience and I cant see what is going on as far as form goes. I have seen what look like viewport pix where there is some shadow but cant seem to get that working. Also I wonder if there is a way to change the base material so it isnt white. I have tried lighting and messed with other setting but cant seem to get this right. In a normal 3d app this would be material ambience oir global I guess.

Have you tried setting Camera > Headlamp > Headlamp Intensity to, say, 0.75? Or even 0.50?
Is your Per Pixel Shading turned off?
Preferences > Interface > Per Pixel Shading > Off
