Exporting .dsf as .cr2

I would like to export a Daz object in Studio .4.8 as a .cr2 file in order to import the converted object into Content Mirror.

However, now matter how many random options I select in the export dialogue, I can't seem to get the object to export as it was intended. I've also tried editing the Geometry as a prop, but I've had similar results.

I'm sure there is a simple solution to this, but it is beyond me. The first image is the original prop, and I've included two variation of how it comes out once exported.

If I can get the object to covert correctly, I'll be able to use Content Mirror to flip the geometry and have a second holster on my character's left hip, ala Lara Croft. Unfortunately CM doesn't import .obj formats, so that's not an option.

Can't you use a modeller? Or are you using third-aparty content rather than stuff you made yourself? Is this a legacy rigged item or a weight-mapped (Genesis or later) figure? The latter won't reimport correctly, and in soem cases may not export correctly. Could you not simply load the item as OBH in DS, then Z-Scale to -100%?

  • Wow. Excellent idea.  I would have never thought of that. I've just always used the Content Mirror program.  Thanks for the help.
