Genesis 2 Outfit on Genesis 3 Model - Requirements

Specifically I'm talking about the Gen3 Mei Lin 7 Base Figure, and the Gen 2 Mei Lin Geisha Peony Kimono.

I'm fine with the minor fixes I may have to do to get it to look right. However, do I need to have the Gen2 Mei Lin base figure (and Gen2 base figure) in order for me to use the Auto fit for the clothing?

So if I where to be at 0 and buy the Gen3 Mei Line and the Gen 2 Mei Lin Peony Kimono should I be good to go?

No, all you really need are the base figures to have Autofit work...in this case G3F, as it includes the autofit clones for G2F.

G2F is free and you should already have it...

No, clothing for ... 6 will fit the base Genesis 2 Female (or male, as the case may be) and can be converted - there may be the odd item that will look odd on other characters as it has correction morphs only for the named characters (I think there was a PC item for one of the teens like that) but even then AutoFit should work within limits.

While I think my question is answered, I do want to clarify one bit.

While I have the G3F and G2F for free, the Mei Lin 6 and 7 are add-ons for it and not free.

And then the Kimino I happen to love is for G2F Mei Lin, and if I was to be buying Mei Lin I want to see if there is a reason to go with 6 over 7. If I needed to buy both for the Autofit to work (which was not mentioned as a condition in either answer I'd gotten, so question answered) then I was just going to go with 6. I don't mind messing with things a bit to get them to look right if it's a bit off.

Sorry if that was unclear, but thanks tons for answering my question :)

I do have that and it will require quiote a bit of work - the problem is the long hanging panels on the sleeves are too far from the actual body parts to take the weight projection correctly. It does do a surprisingly good job but would definitely need a thorough going over with the Node Weignt paint brush.
