save iray settings on export

Is there an option to save the iray settings on an obj file? In order for me to render people in my scenes, because my computer sucks the big one. I have to export them as an object file, and delete the acutal figure. I was wondering if theres a way to save the surface settings too...

Not in the OBJ, but if you take care to keep the maetrial names the same in the options you should be able to reapply the original settings.
