Trouble with Metrics. (Solved)

sorakunosorakuno Posts: 69

I cant find the Measurement Metrics Pane anywhere! I have the products themselves but the pane isn't showing up in my workspaces, It's not even listed under "Window>Panes (Tabs)" I tried redownloading the priduct and even uninstalling and then reinstallign both the product itsef and Studio as a whole. I don't know what else I can do. Can anyone help me?

Edit: Okay, It's finally working now. for some reason I had to deactivate the plug-in, copy-paste the Serial No. again and thereactivate the plug-n.

Things to check: Install path. Version. Serial number.

Did you enter your serial number in Help>About Installed Plug-ins, assuming it is listed and the serial number box is showing? If not how ddi you install - with DIM or using the separate installer? DIM should already have the right path set. Also, are you using the current version of Daz Studio - 4.9.1.30 - as the Daz own-brand plug-ins always need the version current at the tiem of download.

There is also a script to load the panel and make the measurements and allow you to adjust a subset of the most common ons, but unfortunately, not all of the most common ones and then apply them to re-size the measured figure. I haven't investigated how hard or practical it would be to be allowed to resize more measurements, mainly for big boned people. You can save measurements though. There is also a script to remove the measurement tools when you are done. It's a very practical tool.

Yeah, I'm using the latest version, I just checked and the serial number is loaded but it says the plug-in is disabled. It's says I need to register it to enable the plug-in, how do I go about doing that?

I bought it on it's own at full price in January last year and it worked fine then, but then my coputer diesd so I had to redownlad and reinstall everything, which I did.

But the problem is, even though I can load the objects into the scene, without the Pane, I can't actually see the measuerements.

I've noticed an anomily with the program. I would measure a body part -- hips, for example. Get a particular measurement. Then, I increased the size of the hips & thighs. The figure defintely looked larger but the measurement showed that it was lower. Anyone experience anything like this? Is there a work around or fix in the work?

I have the same issue with Metrics, all the files are available, and I can run the pose function, but when I try to run the script I get the must register/activate message using Serial Number.  I checked the Status in Help- About Plug-ins, I can find Measure Metrics with a Green Icon like it is loaded correctly but I see no SN or way to enter the SN.  I checked the Metrics version in DIM and it matches my 4.9.1.30 version.  I have tried uninstalling, deleting and re-installing via DIM with no success.  At the moment I am stumped on how to fix.  It did work in previous version of DAZ, not sure when it broke.

    Any help would be appreciated

I figured out what the issue was I was having.  I checked and I had installed the updated version and that broke it as it's for Daz 4.9 and I'm still with 4.8.  Luckily my paranoia paid off and I was able to do a restore from the backup I keep of every product I download and install.  I'm a little disappointed that certain functions don't seem to work (you can only adjust 4 items on the body) but it was good enough.

I found it a little unintuitive to get working.  You have to have your figure selected, load the 'Measure Genesis 2 Female' first, then the Figure Metrics script.  Every time I make a change, the Figure Metrics box disappears and I have to load it again.  Booooo.  Second problem I can't figure out is why I only have 2 'Genesis 2 Female' listed and no Male ones and none of the 'Pose' options (see attached).
