How to turn occlusion off?

I am using the Visual Style Shaders to customize a cartoon rendering of a Genesis 2 male character. For the effect that I want, I need to turn the occlusion off. However, even after switching it off for all surfaces, and zeroing all the parameters, the occlusion remains and continues to affect the rendering. The render settings don't seem to matter. Is this a bug or is there something that I'm missing? I'm using the latest pro version of Daz Studio 4.9 Windows 7 64 bit. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

For anyone experiencing the same issue, TheNathanParable helped me to fix it. Try setting Occlusion Strength to 1, and Occlusion Max Distance to 0.001.

As he explained, "The old Occlusion node always had a strange quirk where setting the Strength to 0 will cause it to cover the entire surface rather than actually switch off, hence why the Visual Style documentation suggests using Max Distance (set to 0) instead. However, when Daz Studio 4.5 came out, it created an additional problem where setting Max Distance to an absolute 0 causes it to cover the entire surface. Setting it to 0.001 (or something equally as small) fixes this."
