Trying to pin feet to ground...funky results when moving hip

Hey guys,

I am wanting to lock the feet of G3M to the floor while moving the hip to a new location (IOW, just a basic IK movement), and have been getting strange results. Just by moving the hips down in the Y-axis a litte, the feet begin to crumple/wrinkle, for lack of a better term (see attache image).

Is there a better way to constrain the feet to the ground for proper IK?

Thanks,

-P

Did you pin both rotation and translation or only one? It looks to me as if the rotations arte unpinned and metatarsal bone is not pnned at all, allowing ti to bow down and the other bones to point down to it. The heel may also be gettign left out and so looking odd.

Basically, you need to pin all the foot bones for both translations and rotations.

If you go to the Scene tab, select the bone you want (foot) and right click you will be able to select all the children bones and then should be able to pin them at once.

Right foot is fully pinned (including toes), left one is not...
