Q: Diameters of a torus primative

How do you control the inner and outer diameters of a torus created through DS built-in primitive creator?

Specifically, I'm trying to make a Joseon-style men's hat which contains 3 separate pieces - the headband (which the men wore at all times, even to bed). Second piece is the rim, which is a torus that fits on top of the headband. And third piece is like an upside-down cup to fit over the "gentleman's topknot". All three pieces are constructed out of a tight black mesh which provides both sunscreen and visibility. When I scale the torus to fit the head, the outer diameter is too narrow for authenticity.

The Major Diameter is the diameter of the inner space, the Minor Diameter is the diameter of the tube that goes around the outside of that.

  • Counter-intuitive, but good to know.

    Thank you. :)
