Moving Studio and Content to a new PC - will this work?

Ok.. I have backups of all the relevant Studio and CMS folders - rather than re-download and re-install, can I simply restore the directory structire to the new system, using the same pathing, and let Studio/CMs simply rescan the paths (as well as re-importing exported user data?) ((BTW, its a Win  8.1 64 bit system)

Or is there a "preferred solution"

    If the paths are the same (the absolute paths) then everything should pick up. If you copied the Manifests folder then DIM will knoww hat it has installed. If the paths don't match then you may need to rescan, and for Connect installed content you may need to rerun the isntallation (but it should pick up the files that are already there without having to redownload).

      The absoulte pathing will not change, so looks to be good!
