Long renders - is there any way to save/resume them?

Bryce has had this feature forever, and it works nicely in Bryce. The problem is that I have a redner or two that may go over 12 hours (Daz 4.8, 3Delight) - I know there's no natiev way to save/resume, but has anyone ever tried to see if Daz will resume a render if one hibernates Windows? Its not possible for me to have the system running overnight...

Thanks

With Iray you can cancel and resume in the render window.  I don't think you can with 3Delight.

    Hi Eric,

but do you have the possibility to save it, shut down DAZ (and your PC) and re-open it the next day for Resume? Either 3Delight or iRay?

    Nope.

It works with Iray, but only if you leave the program and render image open after cancelling, and then send your PC to sleep rather than shutting it off. If you close the image, the program or shut off the power, then the render will be gone.

One aspect to consider, is that a render may be unfinished due to a small section; if you are happy with most of it; stop it. Save the render, then when there is time, spot render the part still not finished and have the spot render perform it in a new window. That could help not being able to save unfinished renders.

    Then combine in Gimp/Photoshop.
