Unwanted disease texture occurance!!!

Does anyone have an idea as to what could have happened in the process of animating, morphing, or rendering this image? I planned on making the character with clear skin (see the screen shot) but the final rendered png sequence of the images of facial expressions looks like this guy has a disease. I find it interesting...but in no way to I want this effect to occur.
Any suggestions?

It's either Bump,.. or more probably,. Displacement maps.
have a look at the skin shader for both of those settings,. but displacement seems the most likely culprit...
Displacement physically alters the mesh at render time, so it's not always apparent in the open-GL preview
Yeah agreed Displacement or Bump settings away too high. Love the title of the thread. LOL
