yes  ... after the last (frustrating duty, boring, like usual) windows 10 big full update,

my system (really old intel i5 2400, nvidia 970, samsung 840 ssd etc.) is actually some good steps more fast with (Daz3d)   i-ray rendering (urrah!).  I was changing nothing in my settings, I keep always a very limited number of applications in background, so  I can't tell that my sys was so slow before, but ...this last update, sorry if I insist, became sweet sinergy for my GPU.

Windows 10 is really working well for me too. The last gigantic update was a pain in the butt, my computer was down doing updates for 2 hours right in my DAZ time, but once it was done, running great again.

Been using iRay since it arrived, have not looked back. Even to the point of either uninstalling older content, or completely retexturing everything with iRay shaders. The faster, better renders have been worth it!

Wow, maybe i'll download the ISO & upgrade even though I'm on an ISO from Feb 2016.

You can download the ISO and install it for free and use it for free for an unlimited amount of time atm.  The only catch is that you cannot customize it visually.

As for the anniversary update, while it did not cause issues I was not pleased that they reset a some of my settings and program preferences.

Is there a way to check to see what number this big update is in the updates category anywhere on the system?  I've looked all over and can't find that info.

    Thank you!

    MS state:

"The Anniversary Update will appear as, Feature update to Windows 10, version 1607. Click update and the update will begin downloading and installing."

same for me, till now I noticed I was (maybe only I hope.. loosing the custom choice for media player, so I set again my beloved MPC), not so tragic I should say :-)
