3. Base figures (V4, K4, Genesis and M4) don’t count as a purchased item or a freebie and may be used as needed.

Does this mean only those 4 figures can be used or are those just examples?

I haven't had time to go through the whole thread, but love the renders so far!

The four are "no counts" as they at some point has been free but are now paid item, any figure or prop that at one point has been free but now is paid for, or is no longer available, is a "no count".
Default content, like Genesis and the Millennium SubDragon from DS4, is also "no count".
A3 is free at the moment and IIRC counted as a freebie.
Antonia, Kururu, Ratty Mouse and all other free figures are counted as freebies.
Figures that never has been free count as paid items.

Note that freebies and paid items are counted per link. So once you linked, for instance, RDNA's Gumdrop you can use as many as you like in that render.
Separately sold characters and morphs are counted as paid items.
I don't know how bundles are counted.

Oh... and any question about the rules usually stir up a storm in here and chohole has to come out waving the club.

and in the nether regions on her too gamergrrl
and bundles count as one item if it's free, and things that come with the program don't count as free, they come under a misc category. All DAZ base figures are not counted, but the morph++ does.

Not quite correct. The four mentioned figures are the most popular and freebie characters usually require those figures. Any figure or prop that was once free & is now paid for is will count against your paid for item limit. any freebie that is no longer available is not counted as a freebie.
