How to add a Geo-craft

This thread doesn't appear to be very helpful.

Looking for the procedure to add one to Genesis 3.

  • You need to start from a ring (or separate rings) of vertices, joined to each in a loop of edges, from the base geoemtry - that will define the join between the graft and the base mesh and those vertices must not be moved at all. Model your new part as you wish within that ring by adding or extruding - what happens in the GeoGraft stays in the GeoGraft and has no bearing on the base figure. Once done, load and rig your new items as normal. Use the Geometry Editor tool to select the faces you want to be hidden on the base item and, with the Graft Fitted, right-click and select Geometry Assignment>Set AutoHide faces for Attachment, in the dialogue that opens select your new GeoGraft. One the base figure select a ring of polygons that holds the ring of vertices you want to be the join, right-click, Geometry Assignment>Set Graft Faces for Attachment.

Yeh I have the item done, and with the outer mesh exactly the same as the parent figure.

The details of how to add it is what I was after; your instructions look very helpful and just what I needed.

    Cheers Richard.
