I wana pose and render a fbx character in daz studio. But when i import it as fbx file its all messedup.
I tried using it as obj file and using transfer utility and convert prop to figure option also but none of them seems to work.
Is there anyway to convert an fbx character to daz figure

What figure are we talking about?
Most cases, if its a Maya or Blender figure - it will get royally screwed in most cases.
If this is a figure that is available for free for download, I could try converting it into a DAZ figure.
Its a game char i bought. It opens fine in 3dmax but when i import it to daz as fbx its all messed up. It imports fine as obj file in daz but then i cant rig it to daz figure.
I wana know if there is anyway to do this
Oh dang - 3Ds Max figure. That explains everything....
Well, to my knowledge - there is not. Every single Maya or 3DSMax figure I ever imported into DAZ through FBX was a giant mess. The only way is to literally import the OBJ (which is static mesh data) into DAZ and have it rigged and weight mapped inside the program. So basically, going the long way.
You might try to export the FBX file in 3DS max as some other format and attempt that. But I would not get my hopes up....
There's a Collada exporter for Unity3d that exports scenes with fbx files... in dae format. I've used this to import a unity3d scene into DAZ Studio 4 . It was a huge ship model made up of many parented fbx models and they imported as a complete collection. More like importing a scene rather than an individual model. I don't know if this would work in importing a rigged fbx character.
Unity3d is free ( DAZ sells rigged characters for it as well ) here's the Collada exporter

If you don't mind exporting from Unity in OBJ format this is free:

Although Collada I believe is generally thought of as better to use for figures you want to rig in DAZ Studio. Maybe a more experienced DAZ Studio user will chime in.
