does the process change

Hi does the simple stuff like making a morph in hexagon change in daz studio with every release of a new daz version?

  • We obviously can't say anything about future versions, but the process for morph creation in Hexagon has not chnaged in its essentials so far. Content does make a difference - the DS weight mapped figures can't be split into body parts for morphing, the whole figure has to be loaded even if only a small area is to be modified.

how about deformers in daz and the like?  thanks

  • Well, the basic operations of DFormers have not chnaged yet - just the addition of weight-mapping as an option - though again the weight-mapped figures need the DForm applied to the figure, not a bone. For future versions, who knows - though I'm sure there won't be avoidable changes, Daz doesn't break workflow if it can be avoided.

The only thing that changes from time to time (up to now) is the place where and how you load/edit the morphs you created with Hexagon.

The options in Morph Loader Pro and the editing of the morphs (limits, morph follower off/on, place of morph) have changed from time to time.

  • I came in at 4.5 and did a lot of custom morphs (at a point when documentation was horrid). I was mostly absent during 4.7 and 4.8. Came back at 4.9, some settings got added or moved to more intuitive places, panels get cleaned up etc. Typical streamliing, nothing major, so I resettled in fast.
