Alpha channel issue

When I export animations as alpha channels they are not working in other programs like Adobe Primiere or Final Cut. The alpha channel is opaque. I export as a sequence and then import into other programs. How can i get it to work.

    What format are you using? Alpha Channels require Tiff or PNG. They also, of course, require areas in which there is no mesh and that there be no drawn background.

    Definitely this. I left an animation sequence overnight once and didn't realise I'd accidently set it to save the image sequence as JPEG rather than PNG - really quite annoying!!
