All my renders are black!

I recently updated my beta to 4.9.3.71 and now nothing will render.  It will briefly show the small checkered window, then it goes black.  The little render window never even appears.  It does it on everything whether it's documents created out of the last version or if I create something new.  Any ideas?

Are you set to Iray or 3DL?  Does the scene have an environment and is it enclosed?  What kind of lights do you have in the scene?

It is set to Iray.  I tried about 8 different scene.  I don't use domes at this time. I have no lights in the scene. It worked before I updated.

If you don't have lights, and aren't using the Iray environment dome, then the only other posisble light souces are the camera headlamp or emissive geometries. I don't know what the default is for 4.9, but maybe that's getting set to Never in the render panel. 

You need light of some type. The easiest, for testing at least, is to allow the HDRi image in the default environment dome to supply the light. Be sure to select Dome and Scene.

It has to be a setting.  I have a music video animation that I have been working on for some time.  They are fully lit and WORKED FINE IN THE PRIOR VERSION.  I brought several of them in last night.  I am going to go back to the last version.

It was my Nvidia drives!  Bug report folks recommended I update them.  They were pretty old.  Installed the Aug 2016 drivers and now the latest Beta renders even faster than the current general release!!
