Where are the folders for say V4, M4 and V3, M3. I have both Poser and DAZ Studio.
What folders? Textures? That will depend on the product, if you are asking about Daz content the readme page will (usually) have a file list.
It is easiest to scroll all the way down in the Content Library in DAZ Studio to the 'Products' section in alphabetical order and work though the alphabet to convert texture sets for those characters. They tend to cluster in groups: like M4 or M4 Elite and V4 or V4 Elite - but some are not in that cluster so you'll need to look for the individual character names.
There is the Blender Method that we all know for texture transfer that once sorted can work really well..
I just bought, installed and used TC2 for the first time 2 days ago and could not get the poses it built to work with Poser 2014 Pro. The textures are great when applied manually, BUT now I have a BIG poblem. It seems that somehow my ability to apply ANY texture/material pose is broken in Poser. HELP!!!!!!!!!! I have tens of thousands of characters and cant use textures to change them.
Has anyone seen this behavior before? Is there a fix? Any and all help is deeply appreciated.
Poses ??? TC2 only create images (PNG files), so it doesn't affect Poser.
Maybe you should try to uninstall and reinstall Poser 2014 Pro (Don't forget to backup your work before to uninstall)
Nope, it actually has an option under settings to great mat pose (.pz2) files as well.
As it turned out, the power preference files got corrupted. THere is a relatively easy fix in removing three files from the appdata folder under the user ID poser was run from. Poser will regenerate the files with factory defaults, but that is a lot easier to fix than mat poses no longer working.
God, i hate when products disappear from store before i even know about them.
So, any available tools to convert V3/A3 maps to V4/A4 or Genesis?
No there is not, or at least none that I know of. There are products to convert M4/V4 skins to Genesis 3, but TC2 was the only one to support Generation 3 skins. The only way to use Gen 3 skins on any Genesis model without conversion is using this:

@akmerlow, Maybe this will work. Not shure for V3, but definitly V4 and up https://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/texture-transformer-version-2/120633
Texture Transformer 2 does not convert textures from V3, or indeed any figures before V4 and M4. Converting Version 4 figures to Genesis 3 though is very easy with Texture Transformer 2.
Is a shame if no longer available
I actually still use it often, the generation 3 characters had some awesome skins
that said Ultimate Unwrap 3D is a possible alternative but you need to buy the various clone shapes from here
I use that to go to Genesis 3 & 8 but prefer TC otherwise
I used just two nights ago, converting RawArt's "Air Giants" for V4 so that Aiko 3 could use it. (I would display the result, but since A3 is wearing nothing but tasseled "pasties" upon her, uh, "pectoral region" (her lower pelvic region hidden by billowing smoke) I don't think the mods will allow me to post it here.)
Sincerely,
Bill
Is this program still available for sale? DAZ Doesn't seem to have it anymore even though the plugins are still avaliable. Which doesn't make any sense. I mean why have the plugins for sale when the actual program needed isn't available?
No, it has been retired long ago.
For people who already have the program but not the plugins I suppose.
edit: apparently they should have been removed too but never were: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/4627041/#Comment_4627041
Well, THAT's a real bummer. I was hoping to get it to convert some of my older textures to work with Michael 3 and below. I do have texture Transformer but it only works to convert M4 and V4 textures to Genesis 3 and above.
I tried one of the Cayman Studios converters some years ago and wound up returning it: it depends on specially-mapped geografts for the ears and elsewhere as seam cover-ups, when what I needed was a tool to make a working Genesis 3 Male version of a Mike 4 skin, that could then be applied to any G3M I so chose, without seams or seam-cover welds. Your mileage may vary.
I bought just the converter long ago & it works but there is so much G8, G8.1, & G9 product now you can easily find a suitable replacement for the texture you want to convert.
