Hi Guys,
Do you know how to make clothes collide with the floor? (do not go through it)
I would like the cloak on the attachement drop on the floor, not go through.
Thanks

Hello cc
It's depending of the resolution of the floor: If the polygons are too big, the cloth goes through.
Thank you smaker1, do you have any trick to prevent this? This floor is http://www.daz3d.com/level-19
Create a new Plane object from the Create Menu, give it around 100 - 200 divisions when loading the Plane. Use that to collide the cape with, once done just set the plane surface to be transparent
If its a conforming item not Optitex dynamic you need to add a smoothing modifier if there is not one and set floor as collision item, you may need to slowly lower it.
Otherwise you need one of the dynamic solutions at Renderosity I cannot link to.
Szark gave the good solution!
If my ground is not flat,I apply subdivision to it. If the geometry become to heavy I extract the needed part before subdividing (with the geometry editor). Once the simulation is done I delete these object
Thank you Szark and smaker1, another question is... how can I set collide the jacket with the plane?
The jacket I get from here: http://www.daz3d.com/nagase-hiro-4
It seem like the jacket do not build for that purpose like ToeJam said...
My bad, was thinking about dynamic simulation. So yes it's a confoming clothe and you have only one object for collision.
You can try with D-form or Hexagon bridge to create a morph for your cape. But it may be not realistic. As Toejam said there are dynamic solutions which could give you better result and more more quickly once mastered (my preferred choice is VirtualWorldDynamics)
Here is a 1 mn quick and dirty test (forgot self collision)
Thank you ToeJam and smaker1, I think this one http://www.daz3d.com/dynamic-clothing-control is what ToeJam mention about.
No, that's for working with Optitex dynamic clothes, it won't make conforming clothing dynamic.
Thank you Fixmypcmike, could you to tell me how can I know the clothes is Optitex or conforming?
Optitex will be listed at top-right of the product page as one of the vendors, and the product will not say it is " for Poser".
I see, thank you Richard Haseltine
