Woodland Elf for Genesis 3 Female(s)[Commercial]

My new nature inspired fantasy outfit for Woodland Elf for Genesis 3 Female(s)  has now been released!

It includes support for both Iray and 3Delight, 2 material options of red and green (that reminded me of spring and fall) and support for many of DAZ's most popular characters.  The belt is custom rigged and allows the user to move and pose each feather decroation (Swing, In-Out, Fwd-Back), and the pouch can move as well as have the flap open.  The potion bottles can also swing out for help with posing as well.

I love it on Star 2!

  • yep, but i think that the staff is really too big. The branches should have been shortened a bit. IMHO. But nice outfit especially the skirt

  • I really like the staff its defintely unique!  And the textures on the clothing and props are extremely realistic. Looks very well done!

  • I think its all great! No need to nit pick everyones work.

Ice Dragon Art, my sister's name Sonja, spelled JUST like that. She has never seen it spelled the same as her!

That's really cool! Its very rare to see it spelled like that for sure!  I've only seen it once or twice.  Its a good name lol.

If the PA doesn't get feedback, how will they ever know why the product was/wasn't successful? I understand this is a fantasy setting, but even those need to be internally consistent. No creature would carry a tree branch that was difficult to avoid poking oneself with, seeing around, carrying etc. Not to mention the practical difficulty rendering it in a scene so that it doesn't overwhelm everything else. Frankly a simple comment about the staff is hardly nitpicking.

  • I think a priest-sort would and I definitely interpreted the staff as a holy item, not a casual walking stick.

    I love the details!

  • I would use the staff as a ceremonial piece for a priest or druid or in a throne room. It woud also make a very cool light source lining a path in the woods or linging the way to a throne. Its way different and may not be practical for running through heavy woods but I can see lots of uses for it.

  • My goal when creating the staff was to make something really different than a normal magic staff, and something with a forest or nature feeling to it.

And you succeeded!  I think its very well done.

  • Well, I broke down and bought it. Not only is the outfit beautifully made with great textures, the staff has given me six or seven different ideas now.  Soooo now its mine lol.

I suspect, in a real staff, any leaves would wither and die after a certain time, but I actually really like the unique look of that staff for fantasy-based art. The leaves make it look as if it's generating healthy life-giving magic.

Lots of comments on the staff, for me, it is what identifies it as woodland, and elf; elves are often portrayed as loving life, and nurturing it. Creating a staff out of a part of a tree, and maintaining the life within the staff seems a narutal thing for them to do; the leaves, and the fecundity of the branches add something to the product.

I would expect an elf, after creating such an item, would them ensure the branches moved out of the way when travelling - folding up, or twisting around each other, or perhaps shrinking; they would care about it as a living entity.

It's in my wishlist, when so few items along those lines even get clicked on.
