Viewport/Render Bug for Bendings

Hi @all,

who knows, if this is a (known) bug and if there is a simple solution? 

After a while (sometimes minutes, sometimes one hour), both, the Viewport and 3delight Renderer are not able to render figure bendings correctly. The only way to solve this problem is restarting DAZ Studio. See the images and anything is clear, I think. The first one shows the bug and the second after restarting.

    That looks as if something has been twisted 180 degrees. I've not seen anything like that happen spontaneously.

  • All bendings are in allowed range (I've not turned off the figure's limit).

    Anyway - maybe my video card is the reason, if nobody has seen this problem until now. It's not really the best one (ahmm... it's a GTS 250 wink)

    So I have to restart DAZ and everything is working again.

  • The video card should not affect what is shown in the preview, only how quickly it is drawn.

  • Hmm. In that case it's really strange that this "bug" occours only on my PC. I have this effect every time I work with DAZ Studio indecision

    Even more specifically: The "bug" comes spontaneously and affects the whole Scene from one second to the other.

    All bendings are "UN-smoothed" and furthermore all smoothing modifiers with collision-detection stop working.

    That's strange - or not ?

     

     

  • Yes, it is strange. I have not heard other reports of similar behaviour and I am at a loss to offer any concrete suggestions.
