Lost and Found category

I have tried searching thru the threads and in the Daz user guide but can not find any refrence or guide on how to deal with "Lost and Found category" is this where things which seems to be older content that is not installed properly or do I have to manually move these things into proper locations? All the content in this folder wasd installed with DIM but it does not seem to be in the right place. Any help or guidence would be greatly appreciated

    The fles will work where they are, and some products that were isntalled properly will show there (though updates are being carried out on a regular basis, if this is in 4.9 and you allow DS to Connect it will retrieve the metadata updates automatically). For the rest you can categorise them yourself, or reinstall using DIM or Connect where relevant.

    OK well they were all installed with DIM just thought that lost and found meant I would need to move them or manually put them in the right place

    No, Lost and Found is just stuff that wasn't categorised.

    I have items in my Lost and Found that are not categorized, so I was able to categorize them - those disappeared from the Lost and Found.  Can you tell me what to do about items that appear not only in Lost and Found, but also in their proper category?  Everything was DIM installed.  I guess I don't understand why they'd be "lost" if they were installed in the right place by DIM since they show up in the right place.  For example I have "Alex hair" both in Lost and Found, and under the proper "hair" category.

    A product will appear in any category to which one or more of its files belong - so Alex Hair has files under both hair and Lost and Found (possibly a web link; though those do now have their own category older sets may not be updated to reflect that).
