Question about D-formers, exporting objects and Hexagon 2.5...

I had a really old prop for V4 (A kind of primative armband) it wasn't conforming, just really an object. I recently started playing around with d-formers and actually got the armband to fit G3F. It took 3 deformers on the armband to do it. What I would like to know, before I invest too much more time, is that if I export the deformed armband as an object, will the object now have the altered mesh? If it does, can I import it into HEXAGON 2.5 and create a reverse copy that I can use on the other arm? I've had HEX forever, but I'm just now learning how to use it. Any advice or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I think so, and if not you can use the DForm pane to spawn a morph from your DForms.
If you have Hexagon installed, DAZ Studio should have a Hexagon bridge. If you select the d-formed armband and use the bridge, it will arrive in Hexagon in its current, modified shape.
I think I gave instructions on how to make a mirrored version somewhere on the forum already - someone asked how to make a mirror of a Gauntlet. The process will basically be the same I think.
The process in Hexagon should go like this:
1. You should see the new figure in Hexagon.
2. Select the figure in the Scene tab.
3. Now go to the upper tab, you should find Vertex Modelling. Find a tool called Symmetry.
4. Select the freshly copied glove. Press Symmetry.
5. Inside the "Properties window, you will have two icons under the words Clone and Clone Off, Select the icon on the right.
6. In the viewport you will see as you move your mouse that there is a line showing, with a square between. Try to put the square in the 0 position on the X axis. You will not manage to get it perfectly to 0 mind you.
7. Select the original glove. Check its X position. Now you will have to write down the same X position for the mirrored glove, except in reverse. (so a "-1.02" would be a "1.02"). Press Validate on your selection.
8. Delete the original figures from the scene tab and leave only the Mirrored Glove.
9. Select it and choose File - Send to DAZ Studio.
10. If DAZ asks you what is being imported select "prop".
If the Armband is a simple prop you can just parent it to the hand. Otherwise I suggest you look at this topic:

Thanks for all the info. Due to a family emergency, I haven't had a chance to try it out yet, but I hope to soon.
Thanks again!
