DAZ Products - Compatible Software: Poser Only?

I see that Dreamland Models is now selling their very nice products here at DAZ (I have a lot from Renderosity).  The "Compatible Software" shows Poser only, something I don't recall seeing for a long time.  I thought DAZ always showed DAZ Studio as compatible with any Poser format product (in addition to Poser when the product has a Poser Core Installer).  Is this something different?  In any case, I'm all for Poser format as it works well in Carrara.

THere you go, straight from the horses mouth. I hope Tom doesn't get upset about me referring to him as a horse.

BTW  there are a good many products in the Daz Store which are marked Poser only.  For a start Dynamic products are specific as to whether they are Poser or DS dynamics.

Also anything the relies on the mat room, mat lab, whatever you care to call it will tend to be Poser only.  A lot of the products which have some over with the RDNA peeps are Poser only as well.

If a product is designed to work with a dynamics engine, whether Poser or DS, it should work ok with other third party dynamics engines that may be available to be interfaced with Carrara, thus expanding the usefulness of such products.

Okay, thanks for the responses.  Just to repeat myself, the Dreamland Models Poser format products work great in Carrara, here is one I did a while back:

Awesome! Another artist to start collecting from!

I have a feeling that, in this case, Poser-Only might just mean that it doesn't include DS-specific configurations? Just guessing.

Yeah... he makes some really cool stuff! I'm really excited to see that he's doing Low-Rez versions!

Thanks.  The LowRes versions will be useful, I agree, but I can really get into some of the high res city blocks.  The details are great, and additional objects fit right in.  Examples:

Wow! Very nice! Thanks for sharing! I really didn't need to get hooked on a new 3d artist... but this is totally worth it! Let the wishlisting begin!!!

Man, I wish Daz and Rendo had those wishlists like they have at Newegg, whose wishlists can be saves under different names, and we can then have many wishists under different names! It's nice for putting mass purchases together for items meant to work together.

Yeah... I certainly can benefit from these scenes. For me even those Low Rez will work very well... but seeing these levels of detail... ouch! I like that! :)
