Hi,
the experts here in the forum propsed to use memory optimization render mode for instancing to save the precious GPU memory.
Now I did this for a setup of the pooldeck, cause some props are instanced, especially the bushes I placed around the fence.
But there's a general iRay problem with some boards of the pooldeck itself.
Please see the images:

What do you think? Is there anything, you can do about it?
Is the hint for memory optimization for the garbage?

Instancing in iray has nothing to do with instancing in D|S. In Iray, the optimization deals with how the entire scene is "flattened" to a single geometry. Iray has no knowledge of the actual meshes themselves, though instanced meshes may behave differently when flattened. This would be more along the lines of a bug. If you can render the scene either way, chose the method that results in a usable output.
