This thread was four years old, as TheKD alluded to.

You know they will find a way to resurrect it for the sequel.

    How about the GTX 1660?

I have a gtx 2080 super in my new computer. The performance is fast, but I drop to CPU a lot. I honestly think that Iray is so bloated now, using even good new hardware is worse than rendering a few years ago with older stuff.

This is one of the main reasons Ive moved my rendering into Blender.

I've recently gotten a new laptop so naturally I was curious about it's capabilities and it has a nVidia GeForce GTX 1650 4GB DDR5 RAM so according to what I've read that's a capable as a Radeon RX 570 8GB (6% slower than the Radeon RX 570 to quote the review) that I have on my desktop computer except with only 4GB RAM it can't do as big of scenes. Not a surprise as they cost the almost same at about $150 USD on average. The Radeon can't be used in DAZ Studio but can be used in Blender and most other software.

So your GTX 1660 will have more RAM for bigger scenes and be a bit faster so it's a really good deal when you look at the performance 3 to 4 years ago people were paying much more money for from nVidia cards. It's also cheap enough to be a fast but economic stopgap while you wait for the new model of nVidia cards to come out aka those Ampere GPUs.

Is there a bridge for Daz and an addon for Blender to exchange between the two. I use Blender 2.8x and 3DCoat and there is a bridge & add-on to exchange between the two.

A quick google and I found this - a Daz importer for Blender add-on.

Looks like he has a new site for his add-on...
