How to use male (G3M ?) morph on female (G3F?)?

I’ve seen many interesting male characters recently. I’d like to inject some of their morphs in my female characters. Example: George, vampire, etc… on G3F cool

Lets start simple: G3M on G3F.blush

Question extension: different generation male on G3F frown

Lets be crazy: whatever generation Male on whatever generation female.crying

Thank you in advance.

(I already tried G3M skins on G3F, nice)

Do you have Generation X2, and the Genesis 3 add on? With those you can easily transfer any morphs between the two genders.

  • I don't sad

is it the only way to do it? even to use G3M morph on G3F?

  • Unlike Genesis 2, the Genesis 3 figures are not topologically identical - the chest area differs - and as a result morphs can't simply be copied over as they could for the older generation.

  • ok. but what are the solutions?

GenX is the easiest way, but you can probably use the method described here to convert the morphs manually:

One can also use the transfer utility

I'm not sure I remember all the steps for a 100% perfect transfer, but.

    • Load up G3F and M
    • Select the character you're transferring from, In this example, lets say G3M, Favorite the morphs you want transferred in the parameters panel and dial in either the G3F clone or if you have the Cross Figure Resource kit The "Transfer to" morph from that (you will need to turn on show hidden in the parameters panel to find them) Dial out any othe morphs that may be applied, you want just the clone morph
    • go to edit>object>transfer utility
    • For source select the figure with the morphs you want transferred, in this instance G3M, set item shape to "Current" (this way the clone you dialed in will be taken into account)
    • For target figure set the figure you want the morphs transferred to, in this instance G3F leave the item shape alone.
    • click show options, there's a lot of stuff there, but we won't be using most of it.
    • have checked only:
      • "Smart left/right filtering"
      • "closest vertex first" (this one is new to the latest beta, but will make the areas around the eyes transfer a bit better, but isn'r 100% necessary if you don't want to use the beta)
      • "Morph targets"
        • Click morph targets to see the extended options, set the source to "favorites" and unclick "from projection template"
    •  everything else should be unclicked, we dont want weight maps or to fit one figure to another.

    • Hit accept, your morphs should transfer pretty nicely!
    • You will need to save your morphs as anyother morph under save as > support asset > morph asset

one note transferring morphs does not do things like transferring changes to rigging, so if you have a moprh that drastically alters the proportions of the figure (like changes to height,) things will look weird when you pose the figure, but that is beyond the scope of this tutorial

  • could you please describe the step by step way to do this with gen x (gen x2 or whatever?). Lets do it on a simple example: transfering a g3m morph on a G3F (and then save this so we can have the G3F_NEW-MORPH_from_G3M slider ). thx in advance

With GenX2 you open up its panel to do the transfer.

    1) Select Source (in your case G3M), and the Target G3F

    2) Select the morph from the list of G3M morphs under Actor.

    3) Choose Mode "Selected morphs"

    4) Press the transfer button.

    5) Open a fresh G3F figure, and using the Parameters Tab, locate Actor, and in this you should see a section for Generation X. Under this is your transferred morph dial that you can slide.

To make the morph look identical as on G3M you need to also dial in the G3M morph on G3F, note that this morph is automatically transferred by Generation X

It is really pretty easy once you have done it once. Gen X does look expensive, but as it is quite old now and it often goes on sale at a deep discount (ie 60%+), so you might want to wish list it for later.

This is awesome! Thank you! I'm looking forward to trying this out! :)

I know this is an older thread but I'm hoping someone can answer my question. I have some G3M characters that is created by using different morphs in case. I'd like to transfer the Male character onto G3F so I can use the great anal morphs that only come with G3F's genital add one. I'm confus if this is doable and how to do this ( with genx2 I assume).

This works wonderfully for Genesis 8 Figures. Thank you.
