African American Skin?

I recently bought Ethnic: African for Genesis, and I have a small problem. I thought the program would include the African-American skin color, but it doesn't. The shape is perfect, but how do I get the color?

Doll, Re'hanna and, for the guys, The Boss...some of the best around (and as freebies...definitely the best).

Thanks, but I'm not familiar w/ the site, and was hoping for something actually on DAZ. I just need the skin color. And I see Doll is designed for V4; does she work w/ Genesis?

Since Genesis can use the Gen4 UV maps (Genesis defaults to V4...), yes the skin textures are usable, out of the box. The actual morph needs the V4 shape and the GenX plugin to be usable.

Reciecup is a regular poster/forum member and runs her own site, as opposed to being in the store here...not sure why, but ethnic skins were/are a niche market and it was probably easier to start out that way. She does some high quality work and most of the free packages have been past years holiday gifts, as opposed to something that just wasn't 'right'...her pay for packages (there's a few more of them) are reasonably priced, too...

Genesis doesn't technically have any skin textures of its own. It uses separate textures, either made for it and sold/offered separately, or made for earlier generation figures like V4 and M4. They're applied by clicking on Materials Presets or MAT poses. Depending on what you have and how it's installed, you might find the textures that come with Studio in My Library/People/Genesis/Characters (with the materials listed under the character or vendor name) or possibly My Library/People/Genesis/Materials.

Studio does not include African skin textures in the base installation, and as you've discovered, the Ethnicity packages also don't include textures. You'll need to purchase or download those items separately.

V4 and M4 textures work on Genesis, so any of those will work for you, since you already have the Shapes. A few that include Genesis shapes as well as the skin texture:

http://www.daz3d.com/shop/benjamin-for-m5 (I'm not sure if this requires Michael 5)
http://www.daz3d.com/shop/adham (requires the Evolution Head and Body morphs)
    http://www.daz3d.com/shop/candace-for-stephanie-5 (requires Stephanie 5)
    http://www.daz3d.com/shop/tyrese-for-m5 (requires Michael 5)

The promos for the Ethnicity: African product use V4 and M4 textures:
