The hard-coded default setting for interpolation mode has to go!   When using the timeline as a photo-shoot (rather than as a video) I never want the engine to interpolate but it's an ongoing (and often losing) battle to get prior frames to stay unchanged when working on later ones.

We should have "policy" settings inside each scene/project which would include: Default Interpolation Mode which I would set to Constant and expect that all that wiggling would JUST STOP HAPPENING.

Probably there are other nuisances that should be addressed by additional policy settings? ...

As well as Keymate/Graphmate I think Casual has a script to chnage interpolation types (or you could write your own if your skills lie in that direction).

Yay, lots of work on PowerPose in 4.9.4.92, 4.9.4.93, 4.9.4.95, and 4.9.4.97.

I  am and have been investing  thousands of dollars every month, all in this exclusive daz store, and I still think static renders are nice and would like to being your monthly buyer except also I think I have earned the right to expect a real improvement with an approach more professional  for animation now, if not, more sooner than later I will drop daz for iclone.

Physics and realtime animation is a must, before thinking of a genesis 4, be aware of our warnings, we demand DS .5 to have inside an evolved Carrara and iclone like, realtime animation in viewport, and a more serious lypsinc than the old mimic.

Instead of wasting your money on hoarding Dazstudio content why not invest in Iclone as a pure animation motionbuilding solution as I have.

    Also consider mimic live
It works great and is 64 bit unlike the basic lipsinc option in DS.

While I am deciding I'll try to reuse my daz content and daz renders on crazy talk animator 3

So why not get Daz's "Carrara" you can download trial version and the doftware is now sold at bargain price. Many Studio users just dont kow what they're missing.

I don't believe Carrara does real-time animation, that implies real-time rendering. The only one I know doing this is iClone. Or Blender in some extent, the next version with EEVEE will be much better.

I agree that a better support for animation and iRay real-time would be cool features to have in DAZ Studio. But I'm just wondering if this is the "kind" of product the DAZ team points to. May be not.

Would love to see more animation tools for DS.

For now, importing BVH, saving to aniblock, then importing into Carrara is working for me.

After stuggling with DS animation for couple of years I recently discovered Carrara which provides great animation tools built in...wish I had disovered it sooner.

This has been discussed before. Carrara just needs some updates like Iray and that all Daz Models work inside as well as a bridge between Studio and Carrara that works. In Carrara you have a less crash happy modeler, animation tools, and terrain tools that Daz studio lacks and frankly does not need. Studio is a great 2D render platform but it is not a real 3D creation tool like Carrara, Blender, Lightwave ect. Daz just needs to fix Carrara and make it the Daz software for Animation, Modeling, Particles, VR. I love the way Hexagon was layed out but it was neglected so I moved to Silo, the same thing happed with Carrara so I moved to Lightwave. Carrara has a great user interface way better than Lightwave but it is sadly lacking in upgrades.

Not sure what you mean by "Real time animation " & "Real time rendering."

Lightwave would have one of the most confusing interfaces I have seen and Carrara the best -

Actually, what would revive carrara is simply a strong bridge for daz studio's rendering/compositing software...You can model char/terrain, animate and import into daz studio for final composition/rendering...As that archaic rendering engine/mats needs to stay in 2008...
