I am feeling restless. I feel anxious

do you have any new year's resolutions?

Make something for Poser or DS. Write that book.

Those are fine things to aspire to *hugs*

I already submitted it to Rendo. Actually the first part of it. I have put it in several parts so that it won't be too big to download.

Eyes are real pernickety, do you have any good tips for them?

I am more going for the toon eye look instead of realistic looks. I found out that the textures can work on Yweeb, well sort of.

Slightly less awesome, or maybe awesome in a different way, but this is what happens when I get bored. I start coloring and re-coloring stuff :>

Heh, so I did something like this once before with a lineart where I saved out an image of it with all the shading and stuff but using the color scheme of one of the six dragonflights in Warcraft. XD

Unless the titles beneath the dragons aren't specific enough, I'll further clarify. From top left to right, up to down:
Red Dragonflight, Blue Dragonflight, Bronze Dragonflight, Green Dragonflight, Black Dragonflight, The Netherwing*

On the bottom row is the regular "Sunken Ruins" Hydra introduced in The Frozen Throne, and next to that is my ever-changing Wyvern Rae-Rae =)

All of the hydras used colors sampled from the adult dragon's bitmaps using a middle/neutral color when possible (Not a very dark or a very bright scale) and slight saturation adujustment if it turned out too bright or too dark. The Netherdrake and the WC3 Hydra were tough to pick a good color because of the massive variations in scale color on the Hydra and the gradient-style hide of the Netherdrake.

"Another great render"? LMAO Cho, all I can say is... This is a sign that you are perhaps beyond bryce addiction :-P Mind you, I would like to know what skin shader Walker uses. Beautiful :) HEHE

    -----------

    Time for a rant...

You know what grinds my gears - Textures for characters (Mostly female ones) that have their bits painted in the diffuse, and not just that, piercings as well... Why oh why do people have painted in piercings on the diffuse?!? It's flat, and just looks awful. (Not because its a piercing, I have no issue with that, because if we want piercings for our models we'd use a 3d prop for it, not paint it in our diffuse textures. The next issue I have with dif textures is the painted on and obvious collar bones (Which in most cases dont line up anyway), obvious painted on six packs (While subtle tonal changes of the skin are fine, we have morphs and lighting/shadows), and that crease on the backside below the cheeks. Ignoring the fact that most renders are often dressed, still, it's annoying, and either limits the realism, or for people like me who like to customize textures, its extra photoshop work.

EDIT: To add - Also what really grinds my gears is fingernails! Broken nail polish, painted on specular in the diffuse and the character packs that dont come with "No nail-polish". Not all our chicks wear nail polish, come on.

Another 'what grind my gears' with Peter Griffin.
