Any way to convert 3Dlight Sky Dome to IRAY?

I tried right-click selecting the surface w the Surface Selection tool, selecting either "Select Surface SKY" or "Select all surfaces using shader "Daz Studio Default" (tried both) then applying IRay Uber Base.

Does'nt render at all in IRAY.   Can it be converted to Iray?   Thanks

Gosh I have not worked in 3DL for almost 2 years, so I'm not sure I remember how skydomes work. Is there any chance the item has a 360 degree full-sphere image map? If so, you might be able to use the image map as your HDRI image for dome-based rendering in iRay.

If you want it to provide sky light, put the color map in Emission channel, change emission color to white, and adjust luminosity (brightness).

Another approach is to use the dome as a gel and use the Dome render environment setting; erase the environmental map in environmental settings, switch 'show dome' to On.

Then in the sky dome surface: set refraction index and weight to 1, set share glossy inputs to Off, set Refraction Color to your sky image.

In regular Iray photorealistic mode there is no direct way to set 'cast shadows off.'
