Solved: Running DAZ Studio in a VMware VM

Hi,
when running DAZ Studio 4.5 (and possibly other versions as well) in a VMware virtual machine, you may observe erratic behaviour of certain mouse operations (for example click-and-drag in the viewport to rotate a figure). This behaviour has been reported at various occasions here.
Here’s how to solve the problem:
You need to connect a separate mouse exclusively to the VM, bypassing the host OS. To do so, connect a second mouse to your Mac or PC, and follow VMware Knowledge Base article 1033435. (http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=1033435)
This will make DS run as desired in your VM.
Cheers,
Chris
