Animations for...THE CAMERA!!!!
So now I'm starting to study how to move the camera around and watching videos with a NULL object and targeting things in the scene.
I'm suprised no one seems to be creating any kind of 'moving camera' preset bundles or products.
Maybe it's more difficult than I imagine or so easy it's not needed (I highly doubt that)--
Why not presets like......
Pick a point and the camera zooms in from a far distance.
Or zooms out very far and high.
Or tracking shots...
Crane shots where you place the camera at the end and the preset jumps back (10) seconds and lowers down to land in that spot.
I could see tons of themed presets...
- Sky battles where the camera follows a plane (like on its six)
-Parallels for characters - like the GoPro shot where the camera is attached to the characters hip on an invisible selfie stick.lol
- spin from one object to another. great for a stand off between characters.
- Super zoom. Closes in on a small detail and adjusts focus on the way in accordingly.
- Pick a point or figure and that camera blurs all else and then refocuses on the whole scene. Can be done manually, but would be an easy preset.
I could imagine something like an Animate 2 for cameras or some kind of morphing set for the camera tab- that opens dials and sliders where you edit all that under the camera itself. It could have areas for FOCUS, TARGETS and POINTS (like A for starting and the number of letters are all the different keyframes along the path....
If it was Animate 2 style, it'd be naming keyframes and then linking a camera to that keyframe and editing all the info from above for that camera, at that keyframe.
I think this idea would be a wicked addition.
And long as we're here, I've got some nice iRay rendering presets that really speed up the process without too terrible a bump on the output.
I'm on a mission to get that going for animation because that's my end goal.
