What prevents D-Forming?

Specifically, what might prevent followers such as hair and clothing that are fitted to a character from being D-Formed?

I am new to D-Former, and have occasionally found that D-Formers won't work on followers attached to one Genesis character while they'll work just fine on followers attached to another.

You are selecting the add-on parts, then in the DForm pane clicking Add node(s) and seelcting the DForms you want to have an effect?

Yes, and I've discovered the issue. It is bizarre. It turns out that the D-Form field, when applied to a follower fitted to an actor, will act as though the actor is dead center in the scene regardless of their actual position. The rings surrounding the field will appear to be in the proper position relative to the follower, but the X and Z translate values both need to be set relative to the center of the scene, not the follower. The D-Former base and the D-Former itself, meanwhile, will be exactly where they should be relative to the follower.

The whole thing creates the illusion of the D-Former not working at all when created, when in actuality the D-Form field just needs to be centered in the scene. Then everything else will work as normal. The reason I thought it was working for one actor and not the other was simply that one actor was positioned in the center of the scene while the other was off-center.

Ah, not terribly helpful - not sure if it would count as a bug, but it's certainly worth a feature request if not (perhaps a check-box on the DForm pane to work after trnasforms and fitting, or before, as required).
