Good free tutorials for content creation

I really want to be able to make my own content. I found what looks to be a really good tutorial on the store (a 7 part tutorial process). The problem is, that it would probably cost me close to $500 for the tutorials which I can't really afford. Any good tutorials out there that are free?

There is no reason why you would need to purchase a tutorial. That's not saying whoever is selling them isn't giving you a good value for relating what you want to know in one package, it's just that purcahsing a tutorial isn't necessary, since you can find it all online.

Start here: http://www.geekatplay.com/hexagon-tutorials.php (Donating/buying his tutes on CD would be nice, but you don't have to.)

    (Also here: https://www.youtube.com/user/GeekatplayStudio/search?query=hexagon )

Johnybevo has some excellent ones: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNo8Xwu_v2S6oRjfnXDx5Mw

You'll find Hexagon tutes all over the place. But, for things not covered in tutorials, just post a question here and someone will reply, eventually.

For "content creation" in the form of rigged characters, morphs, etc, you'll have to refer to tutorials/lessons/walkthroughs for your chosen application. Look those up online, first, to find the free info and communities where knowledgeable people for that app hang out. Only then should you consider purchasing tutorial/instructional information for most of the apps you'd encounter working around DAZ items.

I agree with Morkonan, I especially like the ones by Gary Miller of GeekAtPlay. Also, if you want an intro to Hexagon check out the Quick Start Guide by CG Dreams - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zu-xZNYYv20&list=PL595BF1A1310CC20F

    Hi all.

Once you get the hang of the basic tools, and their function, your be able to follow pretty much any modelling tutorial as most 3d modeling apps use the same or similar tools.  I remember when I first started learning 3d modelling I learnt much from Maya tutorials, and self taught time spent picking small projects. I took what I learnt into MODO, and then in C4D they are have all same basic tools.

I have a tutorial on modelling the human head thay takes you through the basic tools then into modeling the project, this is one of the harder things to model, and once you get through this in simple easy to follow steps your be able to take on most things.
