Does Iray work on a GTX 1060 in 4.9?

So I got a ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1060 Mini 6GB today and it works great with Reality and LuxRender but I found out Daz Studio 4.8 won't work with it in Iray.

Would 4.9 happen to work with it? Thank you in advance.

Yes, the version of Iray included with the latest DS 4.9 works with Pascal-based cards such as the 1060.

  • Note that you may need to update your drivers - to 372.x or higher.

  • Yes, if you just got your card today, you probably got either a default Windows driver or a driver CD in the box; these drivers are always out of date, sometimes very out of date. Get the newest drivers from the NVidia website.

  • Thanks guys! I got it sorted out! :)

  • Hey guys I got 1060 as well but it is a 3gb overclocked one to replace my 750ti one. And I just trying it out with the iray rendering on one of the scenes with building and 5 people but to me it seems almost the same type of speed like 750ti. Can someone please help me why is like that and also is there a way I can make my graphic card faster for my rendering?

With 5 Figures and a building I doubt that the scene you tested would fit into the memory of either the 1060 or the 750 so you would be using CPU for this render in both cases

And if the newest driver doesn't work, try a slightly older one, just make sure it's at least 372 as said earlier.
