Daz Studio does not see runtime?

Hello my Artistic friends,

I have a question I hope someone can answer about the content library.

I have notice that with many items but not all items with a install structure including a runtime folder with content in it that when I open Daz Studio it will not display it. Nothing in the Runtime folder will be displayed.

I direct it to look for content in My Librarys in the Daz folder created in my Documents as well as the the folder titled My Daz 3D Library created in the Public Documents folder but if an installer happens to have a Runtime in it and it is directed to install into one of these folder, The Daz Program will not see it or show it when I open Daz Studio.

What I have done is opened Content manager in Daz Studio and added the Runtime manualy and items will show up then but it also shows a lot of things that are useless and can not be loaded. I end up with a mess just trying to locate something when I do it this way.

Is there something I can do about this?

Oh, One more question please.

I use a 50 inch 4k television for a monitor with a resolution of 3440 x 2160, Is there a way to enlared the Type on the Daz Studio interface? I have to lower my screen resolution just to read what is on the Interface and I do not have to do that with any other program such as Poser or Vue. Actually it is the only program I have to do that too. That becomes a eye strain. Anything I can do to adjust that?

Anyway, Thanks for any feedback. wink

  • The Runtime folder is, as far as user-facing files are concerned, for Poser content - if you have the folder that contaisn the Runtime folder selected as a Poser Format content diectory (which the default locations should be) then the files will be found under Poser Formats>Content folder name. You should not select the Runtime folder itself as a content directory, that may lead to bad paths in your saved files.

Thank You Richard, It seems I may have some items installed wrong.
