FBX->C4D [solved]

Is any one getting FBX export from DS to C4D working ? I get the rigs and all materials working just fine, but there is no geometry, just the rig (yes I have checked the "Geometry" checkbox in C4D), I got it working with some old CR2 exportred characters from DS->FBX but my G/G2 characters do not show any geometry in C4D at all for some reason (the FBX imports just fine into LightWave for example and also in Blender I get the geometry imported even if it looks like rubbish).

Update: Tried with the posable trees ( http://www.daz3d.com/forest-trees ) and same problem there, just the rig no mesh at all, but if I export an old Millenium cat CR2 to FBX and import it into C4D it's all there, both rig and geometry.

  • What options are you setting in the DS exporter?

  • Forget about it, I was using the broadcast (cheaper) version of C4D and it looks like you need the studio version to use morphs, so instead of giving me some kind of error message C4D just threw away the mesh if there was any morphs in the FBX.
