Daz Studio 4.3.166 very slow and glass will still have a lot of noise ...... and I wonder WHY , why is this version of studio slower and why can it not render glass in the same quality as the previous version?

I have not changed anything, same pc and same rendersettings.

Same lights that I used in the previous version, same scenes that I saved and yet, DS is very slow and glass and gems look, well, bad.

Has that to do with this spectral thing that is now in the render tab?

I never used it as I heard it would slow down renders , and I do not want to get slower.

My husband decided to clean my PC and he got rid of one of the important folder in which I had the previous verion of DS , version 4.9.2.70 and I so wish I still had it because I would uninstall 4.9.3.166 in a heartbeat.

I do hope someone can tell me why the renders take so much longer now and why there is this noise issue when there is glass or gems in a scene.

Petra :(

It seems to me like volumetrics render noisier in 4.9.3.166, too. However, I'm running a 1060 so I'd like to keep this version installed. Note: I also find that volumetrics in 3DL cause a consistent crash in 4.9.3.166 on my setup. PITA.

So it is not just me. pheew

I have a Geforce GTX 980ti and never had this problem with glass or gems before , also being slow.

Just wish my husband had not delted the folder with my precious 4.9.2.70. sighhh

I have not yet tried with 3DL

I do hope all those bugs will be fixed as I find it very hard to cope with this as my renders turned out so much nicer with DS 4.9.2.70
