Hands for Genesis not working properly

    If this is the item/s you are using http://www.daz3d.com/sadie-and-sam-for-genesis then the Hand set should work properly. But as stated before YOU Must use the ZERO hand pose BEFORE you apply the other hand pose. If you DO not do that the POSE that is applyed to the HAND when you POSED the figure will TALK to the Second pose you apply. That is why the ZERO HAND poses are supplied with the Hand Pose set.

    IF doing that does not work Then I have NO idea what has happened or why it has happened.

    Yes,, genesis hand Poze preset work as expected,, if his Sadie is http://www.daz3d.com/sadie-and-sam-for-genesis,,

    (but I seems not,,,the first oldblock pic seems different usuall genesis zero poze hands,, do not you think so ^^;??
    see pendaria pic,, it is zero poze of hands,,, so I thought,,, his pic are not sadie for genesis,,, )

    as Jaderail said first time,,, keep the rule,, is simple and easy.
    (the ZERO hand pose (reset R hand,, and reset L hand poze) BEFORE apply the other hand pose)

    but,, it seems usuall.. using shape morphs for genesis, then apply hand poze,
    there are some difference with picture of the poze sets,, and actuall figure hand shape.

    Then,,, I hope,, someguys May who know well about Sadie, show and tell oldblock
    about each figure difference (Sadie and genesis ) and morphs (Sadie for genesis and,, Sadie Fae for Sadie ^^;

    Ok, the problem here is that oldblock's Sadie has a different zero pose than standard genesis zero pose. (in the picture i used Aiko3 to show this)
    When the Reset pose is applied, his Sadie has her fingers straight, while genesis fingers are bend slightly inwards. This creates an offset for all the fingers. Straightening a genesis finger will result in Sadie's finger bending upwards.

    Edit : please ignore the following, i was wrong about that. (sorry to add to the confusion, oldblock)
    [strike]If you want use Handy for genesis on this figure, you'll have to make and save a left and right hand pose that matches the genesis zero pose as close as possible. Then use these two poses as Reset Left Hand and Reset Right Hand.[/strike]

    because Sadie Fae are not "Sadie for genesis"

    I do not know how Sadie Fae are setted bone,, (each bones name, and how many bones she have about hand)

    if there are same name rig,, the poze preset work to rotate the bone,,
    but it may not fit Sadie Fae parfectly.

    they are perfeclty different shape and rig figure.
    though you can apply poze preset for genesis to Sadie Fae,, you may need to adjust
    or it may not work as you expected..

    Oldblock after looking at the links it appears that the Sadie fae character is not available for the genesis characters it's not listed on the Sadie for genesis page.

    So a couple of questions...
    1. Is the Sadie fae product linked to the one you are using?
    2. If so how did you transfer the morphs to genesis?

    Maybe with the answers to those questions we can work out how best to help you...

    To answer you question...

    There are two Sadies...

    The first was an original stand alone character created by 3d universe. Sadie Fae was created for this product.

    The second Sadie is a shape/morph for the genesis figure. To my knowledge this does not come with a Sadie fae morph. At least according to the page linked to earlier in the thread.

    To my knowledge there is not an easy way to transfer morphs made for the original Sadie to genesis to use with the Sadie shape.

    There is an autofit clone for the original Sadie which allows clothes made for the original Sadie to be worn by genesis.

    I believe that your problem is caused by trying to use the Sadie fae morph with genesis. But until you answer my questions in the previous post no one can tell you for sure.

    I hope oldblock think well what Pendaria quesiton ,, before continue work and make animation etc with his cute Sadie,

    it must help you,, what figure you used, and have clear knowledge with morphs or products which have good compatiblity to your Sadie,

    I thought same thing ,, at first time when see his picture,, but,, if I made new base poze whic is same as genesis handy zero poze,,
    it must need to change rotation to adjust poze.. it is not zero hand poze,,

    so that,, after I apply other handy poze preset,,

    it simply overwrite each value when rotatiton value is not zero..
    eg I make base new reset poze,, it simply record and fix the node,, (x rotation 0 , yrotation 5 z rotation, 10 )
    then , I apply handypoze_01 left, it must overwrite ^^;

    so that,, make the reset poze,, may need joint editor,, and change rig. the reset poze must be zero rotation poze
    of the finger node,,,, I think.

    (so,, cridgbit,, poze mastar , and people-pack are popular items I think ^^; if we can easy remake poze preset about each figure,,
    we need not to buy%-P

    or need to change code about each poze file,, not overwrite,, just apply delta with current value,,,

    Good call, kitakoredaz. I was indeed wrong, the pose files set actual values, not increments.
    I should have given that more thought before i posted.

    I actually,, first try to write same thing,, as you planed,,^^;
    and I said often "delta" it is my fault ^^;

    then,,,it is me,, not you,,

    I must need,, I should have given that more thought before I post,,, but I like to answer quick as soon as I can,,
    as if real talking ^^; (so when feel something,, I wrote it,, it is not good,,sorry )

    so that I aim this year,, (my second year ) to improve my hitting average more.. mm,, ,, %-P

    I hope,,if I say something, half of can fly to hit zone,, of in goal post ^^; (no one can believe what I say ^^;)

    Okay folks I've done some back tracking to see where I got my Sadie from and I think I have nailed the problem. It is as you say Pandraia,Toon Girl Sadie from 3D Universe which I bought in my early days with DAZ when the subtleties of what was linked to what were still to be grasped and I treated Toon Girl Sadie and Sadie as the same thing. SadieFae is designed (linked?) for Toon Girl and does not use the regular Sadie.
    So cutting through the fog, as Handy for Genesis is not specifally designed for my model this is the most likely reason for my problems and I apologise for wasting your time.
    Without delving too deeply into the complexities of this thread I believe a work around is not going to be easy but I'm experimenting with the reset options to see if anything usable exists.
    All part of the learning, Eh?

    Definitely...: ). I'm glad you seem to have solved what was happening. It can be very confusing when you first start. I remember downloading freebie textures not realising they needed the cr2 s and being quite confused to why they weren't working when I first started.

    No apologies necessary...I'm just glad we were able to help.

    kitakoredaz, iirc English is a second language for you...you do much better than I could in another language. You have always struck me as being very knowledgeable and willing to help others please don't stop I always learn things from your posts to threads.
