Add bone for the Glute area

  Hello, I need some help in adding bones in the glute area  for the purpose of controlling each bum cheeck individually. So far I have managed to add a child bone to Pelvis, called BumCentralBone, and from there added 2 child bonnes called Left and RightBumBone. I've then aplied Weight Map ( Weight and Scale Map) . The problem is that if I try to scale LeftBumBone ( for Ex. ) , the mesh scales just a bit, and then it starts deforming badly ( weird , sharp angles , funny shape ). What I need to do, is try and reproduce the scalling effect that can be seen in the breast area .  So, any ideea what I'm doing wrong and how to fix it?

    Pelvis (or Hip) is 'BumCentralBone'.  Look how it is done for the pectorals.
