Done the Demons and Monsters thing.. where are the good guys?

So now that you have all the evil dudes with their own character base, where are my Gen 3 Angels and all the good guys at? Oh.. angel dude should be called Gabriel right?  Would love to see some updated G3 wings..

Still looking for more HDRI enviroments too.. hoping to see landmarks, highways and populated areas might be cool too.  Just got down buying the Fairies flower ones and shout out to the people who made those flying ones.. AWESOME!

Still hanging for a supersuite IRAY update

You don't need an entire base figure to give the impression of an angelic character - they're just normal characters with wings and a halo. Literally any of the characters you already have could be used for one. With the demonic characters, they use specific scales and other skin features which existing characters do not have (unless you use the Creature Creator sets, which are perfectly viable tools). Keep in mind that charcters like Lucian are equally marketed with vampire and vampire-hunter costumes - they're not meant to only exist as 'evil' (and work just as well as G3M or Michael for 'good' costumes and props).

Epic Wings (and its expansion) auto-fits just fine to G2 and G3 (as well as, surisingly, some stand-alone figures) and renders equally well in Iray, too:

There is already a G3 Supersuit successor (with plenty of expansions for both genders of it around the store):

You can now give characters a spiritual glowing effect:

Halo should be easy enough with applying Iray emissive effects.

Never Auto-Fit wings to a figure, it destroys the rigging, parent to the chest of the figure.

Can wings be parented to the figure's chest even if wings were designed for another figure?  Can I use epic wings on Diamond or Horse 2 or whatnot to make a Pegasus or Alicorn?  Just by parenting the wings to the horse's back after posing it correctly?

    Yes.

Why not?  Whose to say Angelic beings don't have a special skin type?  That they wouldn't also have a special body type that would accomidate actual 3 diminsional wings.

I own these wings and I use them all the time because DAZ hasn't come out with a better UP TO DATE version that would be more flexible, more realistic and not 2 diminsional flat wings that only look good head on.  While I agree with you that the old version works well... We can do much better.

While its nice that they did the superhero bundle and there have been a couple of 'supersuites' for Genesis 3 that I own.. none of them come close to having all the options as the version I already posted a link to.  I don't think its too much to ask for either an IRAY update or in general a Gen 3 update that provides even more options then the old version...

Yes populated HDRI would be great. One I would love (but not sure how the artist could make it) would be a Roman coliseum populated with people. Its impossible to use a prop of a coliseum and try to put figures in the seats. If you had the HDRI then you could focus on the fighters and maybe a few added spectators or a Caesar/Queen.

  • I would like to comment on the original post, We can never have enough bad guys, monsters, demons, creatures etc due to the fact that they are unique to themselves. A good guy can be made with a piece from this set and a piece from that set.

So keep the creepy, gory and just plain scary coming I don't think there is enough personally.

What "special skin type" would you suggest for an angelic being? You can already make a figure glow and there are lots of skin colour expansions for Genesis 3, such as this:

    http://www.daz3d.com/mrl-mutations

And a being composed of energy wouldn't really need some kind of special body form to take account of wings, needless to say. :)

As for wings, sure, someone could do new ones (I think that someone actually is), but Epic Wings are still fine and you don't need an entirely new character just for wings.

Ultimately, you can already create a heavenly angelic being with what we already generally have in the store. There isn't really an argument to revolve an entirely new base figure around the basic concept.

It's ironic that anybody would bother making such an argument in the product suggestion page when the same argument could have been made as to why make the Demon character base.. after all, we have creature creator ranging all the back to M4 and every generation already has horns so making a demon out of existing morphs and supplied add ons was then nothing but an UPDATE.... a convienance to the people who want to purchase that product...  but now ... let's address this issue that you've brought up...

First off, just going by the Chritopher Walken potrayel of Angels .. they had angelic script in raised tattoos on different places of their body... Some had fangs and talons that came through the skin when they fought and had fierce almost vampire like features.. oh and lest we forget they were hermaphadites... so.. if anybody did actaully deserve to have its own character base.. of course it would be an Arch Angel with cat like reflexes dressed like the Matrix characters... Hmmm  Be creative and more importantly... create instead of argue.

Tell me those wings couldn't use a good update... come on...

Oh.. and Gen 6:4 says they were "giants" so... havign the option to make them giant would be really awesome. :)

Exactly... or any sports players in a stadium but then the same could be done for basically any city street.. I like the idea of landmarks too.. One in Time Sqaure New York or in the L.A. river... one with the Hollywood sign in the background... I love the idea of blending live action with our characters. :)
