Animate 2 Problems

artoirartoir Posts: 65

Hey all. I'm trying to get into animation and want to purchase a complete guide to it, but for some reason I cannot get animate 2 to open in a tab in my Daz. It's showing as loaded in my installed programs, it's listed under the tools tab and looks as though it's ticked. I went to window>scripts (tabs), both animate lite and animate 2 constraints (whatever constraints mean) are there. But when I click to load animate2, a tab pops up, but says "not available in lite version". Basically I don't have a clue where or how to get this animate 2 to work. Any help would be appriciated!

I bought what now says in Daz is, "aniMate2 Leisure Time Bundle for M4", I don't remember it being in that description, weird. Anyway I either just messed up because I thought I was getting animate2 in general, like for any character. Yet I still can't get it to show up. All I get is Animate Lite.

Update: Ok, found it, I did purchase what is simply called Animate 2 for like $59.95.

Did you set , Animate 2 serial number already? when you check your account>serian number,

you can find each plug in serial number.  I found this topic. it seems same as your case.

Yes, I have checked my plug ins and the number has been put in, and is ticked as plugged and working. Thanks for the link. I'll check it out.

OMG THANK YOU!! This person on the link you gave me was exactly what problem I was having. After a year of this and just blowing it off and giving it up, it's all fixed now! Thanks again kitakoredaz!

When you plug in the serial number for AniMate2, you must then click the checkmark to the RIGHT of the serial number entry field. This is not the checkbox to activate the plugin, it just submits the serial number you enter. Once the serial number is accepted the text box will disappear, after you click toanother line. If you still see a serial number textbox with a masked serial number in gray, then the one you entered was not accepted or you didn't click on the "submit" checkmark, and you must re-enter the ser no and click it again

Failing to do this, the pluging status will still show green when you click the activation checkbox , but does not change the UI to show Animate2 windows - you will still have just the animate lite window and the error msg in the animate2 constraints wiindow. This should be considered to be a bug, considering how misleading the green status is.
