My opinion: All of your work shows you are very talented; but more so than your renders, your sketches, inking and painting in 2D is where you truly shine, Rezca.

"Dirty desk is the sign of a clean mind" Misty ;-)... everything carefully organised chronologically (oldest stuff at the bottom, newest stuff on the top)... a pity we can't buy dinner GCs X).

My complaint - picked up a Galaxy Note 2 yesterday afternoon, I thought the salesguy said he'd done everything and made it ready for use (certainly signed me up for plan XYZ etc etc)... but it seems I still have to jump through the Activation hoops for the simcard (my first >_<). Samsung "Kies" software in Win7 doesn't seem to be recognising the USB plugging in and out either (`_`)... comes up with an error when trying to install the "USB Universal Driver" (not an Admin privilege thing though)... have to investigate when I get home.

Cool cloudy morning so far - merry humpday everybody (^_^)/

Blech, well, hang in there! :ahhh: :ahhh:

Gonna re-install Carrara 8 this weekend. I refuse to spend another penny on software or hardware until I'm 100% certain I've hit the wall with what I have right here right now.

Gotta sell, sell, sell stuff. Spring Cleaning comes early in Austin! :bug: :gulp:

Complaint...

I just received my first spot.

Out, damn'd spot! out, I say!

But there it sits beneath my insignificant little avatar.

A green spot... A diminutive square... A jester mocking my weakness.

To have succumbed to the lure of this topic tentacled monster.
To have bared my soul to strangers. (Not really.)
To have possibly and unrestrainedly typed a few incoherent thoughts. (More likely.)
To have posted to such an extent, to such a number. (Admittedly small.)

The shame.
The horror.
The wildly exaggerated melodrama!

...Not Really.
...

Oh... By-the-way... Hello Complaint Thread! I've missed you. Hope everyone is doing well or has enough to complain about. ...Wait. Uh... That doesn't sound right. I mean... Well, you know what I mean. I think. I hope...

Note: I wasn't here and you didn't see this.

I can help a bit with Samsung Kies, I have experience about that (being a primarily Samsung phone/tablet owner myself). Note, you want to reboot your computer after installing Kies, as much as doing that can suck.

Too late, I've already seen you! =D

Mm... I has a complaint. I slept all day (9am to 8pm) and now I'm going to be up all night... Again...
Non-complaint, I dreamed of dragons! Red ones too, my favorite <3 Well okay to be fair there were only two... A bronze one and a younger red one... The Red draggie only took up about.... Um... 1/5 of the dream. The bronze had even less attention. I think he only got mentioned once and my brain assumed I knew he was there somehow. (I'm talking about the warcraft dragons here. The red dragons in that have such lovely personalities~)

I'm already forgetting what we talked about, but someone did something to anger him halfway through our conversation. Thankfully, it was not me XD
I never caught his name though, but given their naming conventions I doubt I would have remembered it anyway =)

Ah yes, and the dream ended in a more modern less-fantasy setting. Ironically it was at night ^^
But somehow I wasn't an adult in that, I was a kid =O

If the new bits of the store are actually breaking the page, make sure you are allowing scritps from DAZ and cloudfront, and if you are try a forced refresh (ctrl-F5).

...the refresh works, thanks.

why do people get drunk on purpose?

Because humans.

Well, there are multiple reasons.

Some alcohol tastes nummy! (Disaronno Originale, Piña Colada, and dark rum, I'm looking at you. Mmmmm.)

Some people like the light buzz it creates and are perfectly capable of keeping their drinking under control.

Some crave for the cheeries the initial stages give, an outlet from their sorrows. Probably not the healthiest way to medicate yourself, but it has been used that way since the beginning.

Some people are addicted to it. And this is sad.

More interestingly -- at one point of human culture, alcohol (specifically beer and ale) kept us alive until better sanitation was invented. Beer fermentation killed harmful bacteria and parasites in water (hence some places having strict laws about watering beer, because that water wasn't hygienic and killed people; penalties could include death by some really unpleasant method).

Second, when we were still apes thinking about branching into apes and humans, we ate fermented fruit and got buzzed. Apes and monkeys still do that. Humans do operate on pleasure-principle...

I saw a special on Showtime many years ago, a series called The Nature Series. This one episode was about a spot in Ibiza where during a very short time, the fruit from certain trees ripened and fell to the ground and began to ferment. All kinds of animals went there, some of them natural enemies of one another, and they ate the fruit and got drunk and didn't bother each other. Then they left when it was gone. And they keep returning to that spot every year. It was funny, and very interesting.

Complaint: I was notified that my subscription to the Platinum Club has expired. I put in a ticket, because I am on the annual plan and renewal isn't due until May. I got a response that I was in a "grace period" where a payment had failed and I can still renew within this grace period. My issue was deemed resolved. Hah!

...was going to say something about that because when I logged into my inbox tonight I saw I received the email of impending doom as well.

[cue Twilight Zone theme]

So first thing I do, I go to the store and click on PC items Yup, they're still 1.99$.

Next I go to the Forum Home page and click on the Members Only link. Yup, I can still read and comment on threads.

Finally I go to the Subscriptions page of My Account. Yup, Next payment is due on 11/10/13.

...and yesterday I received my monthly PC newsletter as usual.

Now, it gets even juicier.

In the email it mentions I can renew my Annual Membership for the paltry fee of 29.95$ PLUS If I do so I will get 30$ credit in Daz Originals claiming that it "...makes (my) annual membership practically free".

So I click on the linky provided in the email and up pops the renewal page....but, with a price of 69.95$ not 29.95$, and, there is nothing anywhere in the description at all that says I also get 30$ credit for purchasing Dazzi-Os.

This is becoming really screwy.
