i didn't know which to get to with alfredo, i defaulted to a reisling wine. there was lots of glass bottles in tight aisles, was nerve racking.

    Complaint...

I just received my first spot.

Out, damn'd spot! out, I say!

But there it sits beneath my insignificant little avatar.

A green spot... A diminutive square... A jester mocking my weakness.

To have succumbed to the lure of this topic tentacled monster.
To have bared my soul to strangers. (Not really.)
To have possibly and unrestrainedly typed a few incoherent thoughts. (More likely.)
To have posted to such an extent, to such a number. (Admittedly small.)

    The shame.
    The horror.
    The wildly exaggerated melodrama!

    ...Not Really.
    ...

Oh... By-the-way... Hello Complaint Thread! I've missed you. Hope everyone is doing well or has enough to complain about. ...Wait. Uh... That doesn't sound right. I mean... Well, you know what I mean. I think. I hope...

Note: I wasn't here and you didn't see this.

    *nudge nudge nudge*

    !!! SNOWBUG !!!

    Is it really you?

    <<< HUGS >>>

It is so good to hear from you! I've missed you and your trepidation inducing cookies... but especially you! ;-)

I hope you are doing well, and the same goes for the polar bears and squirrels.

Darn. You've tricked me into being one post closer to earning another dreaded spot. LOL

OH! Yes! Of course! Yep. Kies is needlessly heavy at times, although they claim to have "Kies Lite" available as well...

Still, it does work better than iTunes for Windows. ;)

Throwing out a HELLO to Woolyloach!

As I remember, you changed your avatar and started referring to yourself as a feathered serpent a while back. Don't know why. ...I can't help it though... Every time I see your name a maritime horror track plays through my mind and I once again see the great leviathan, the great and terrifying Wooly Sea Loach, speeding toward a tall ship like the Nautilus barreling down on its prey, its great and wooly fin cutting the waves like some ungodly shark. Thank you/curse you for infecting me with this great imagery, and others like it, such as the zombie slugs. ;-P

I don't know of any Maya or SoftImage users here.. oddly enough.. :smirk:

I'd use Carrara more if every particle system I tried didn't crash it.. :ahhh:

They still haven't fixed it's particle systems? They've been broken since version 6 it seems V_V

Maya (usu Linux) and Max user here, but only if someone else provides the software. Also,I use the Carrara particle system a little, is slow but doesn't crash for me, perhaps I'm not demanding enough Win Vista 64 12GB RAM. LW Hypervoxels are much much much faster :) ETA I never understood Carrara colour spaces, still don't :(

I'm guessing the renewal of the "Previously Purchased Thingy" is part of the implementation of the new "Install Manager" announced today.

A DAZ Newsletter entitled "What's new about the Platinum Club?" or "The Platinum Club just got better" announced it today.

There is a thread in the Commons Forum entitled "Apparently the DAZ Install Manager is about ready" that also discusses it.

There will be further announcements when it is up and running as I understand.

Yay it appears to recall our _entire_ purchase history (not just the things that were purchased on this "new" site) \(^_^)/. There was a rumour at one point that it would only work for "new" purchases, but it looks like somebody had sufficient SQL-fu to bring our full purchase history over :D.

whee my new EZsee keyboard came.

can't not see these keys -tee hee.

That's one heck of a keyboard!!! :bug: :bug: :bug: Talk about high contrast.. :gulp:

I'll probably need one of those in a few years... :shut:

...several of the keys on my notebook are now blank. That's how long I've had it (and explains some of the typos in my posts).

Now I want a beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrr!!! Waaahhhhh!

Well, I have beer in the fridge at home, I'll suck down some suds once I'm done moving back into my old room (heh). Going to whip up some beef sausage n' mustard for dinner, maybe some black beans in salsa too! :cheese:

Lunch today: Chunky Sirloin Burger. I hope Sir Loin isn't upset that I haz his burger... :snake:

...another long day (and I'm supposed to be working reduced hours?). Ah well, means a good paycheque at mid month.

To tired to cook (planned to do a stir fry) so I declared it Pizza and Beer Night tonight. Stopped off at the corner pizza joint for several slices of their most excellent fennel sausage & cheese pie. Then to the market next door to pick up a big bottle of a fine imported German pils.

Actually going to get a small dose of spring this weekend with sunny skies (cleared off this afternoon) and temps in the 50s.

A squirrel gnawed a hole in our cylindrical bird feeder and got all of the seeds over a couple of days. He keeps coming back to our apartment balcony to see if we've put out more yet.

I keep hoping the rufous hummingbird will stab him (he definitely has an anger problem, that bird), but so far no luck.
