Tears HD Not Working

I'm having a problem with Tears HD.  I see it listed in G3 Female materials, but I can't apply it to the model.  Will it not work with Nyarai?  All I can find under Materials is the initial  Tears HD with regular tears, blood and ink in Iray.  I can't seem to find any adjustments for these, and when I click the materials, the product isn't listed under Scene and doesn't appear in rendering.

There's nothing to show in the Scene pane, unless it uses a Geeomtry Shell (which woudl be aprented to the figure) - it's a set of morphs and materials for the base figure. You will probably need to apply the morphs by hand, I don't see a preset in the file list unless the "materials" are in fact Character or Properties presets, then apply the materials and render to see the effect.

I thought the same thing (didn't see anything) until I tried sliding the dials in the morphs tab. Let me grab a screenshot of where I found it.

EDIT: Here it is, under the Posing tab. Seemed like a strange place to find it, but I guess you do "pose" the tears. You have to have them dialed in for them to show up.

And here's a closeup of my WIP with the ink materials chosen for the tears and Plentiful Tears HD 02 morph. I love the sliders. You can combine them or only dial in just enough for the effect you want. Great product!

Thank you all, I would never have thought to look there!  The product page could mention this, but it doesn't.

Only other thing, I'm having trouble making the tears show up in Iray.  Suggestions?

Make sure you are using the right shader. Looks like it comes with two sets- both 3Delight and Iray. My guess is you've got the 3Delight shaders on them.

Even using the Iray shader, the tears disappear-- maybe something with the lighting?

Hmm, I'm not sure. Let me change the texture on my scene and see if I can get them to show up.

I'm rendering it now and it seems to be working. Make sure you have Genesis 3 Female selected in the scene list when you apply the shader. Otherwise, I don't think it will show up. The model I'm using is Anna for G3F and V7 from Anagord (Rendo.) I'm assuming it will work on all G3Fs.

Here she is. The tears look a bit white, but I'm assuming that's a reflection. This is the first render I've used them on. I love how the ink materials came out in my first post. Perfect runny mascara. (click for full size, then click again to zoom in, I rendered it big)

Still no joy here-- is it because I used NGS 2 on her?

I wish I knew. I didn't use NGS on my model, so it's possible. I would try loading up a G3F or V7 with no extra shaders and see if you can get it to work that way. I don't have Nyarai yet, so I can't test it on her, but I can test using it with the shaders this weekend.

Very nice render, colinmac! What was the fix for you?

Well, I have exactly the same problem. Tears don't show with anagenesis added.

Unfortunately the thread starter didn't post his solution.

Maybe somebody has an idea how to get the product to work with anagenesis2? Obviously it can be done.

    Thanks

I believe the Anagenesis shader over writed the tear's shaders. Try applying the tears and shading them last.
